Fear settled into the pit of my stomach and I felt like ice cubes had just been thrown on me.

Those words keep playing in my mind over and over again. Kahit nakaalis na yung family doctor nila Justin nanatili lang akong hindi kumikilos sa pagkakaupo ko.

Ok now, my subconscious mind is being sarcastic. Great! What every pregnant woman needs.

Maybe I’m just being paranoid.

Maybe it’s just my hormones talking.

What if Justin didn’t want this?

What if he dumped me after this?

What if he realized that I’m not good enough?

Or worse.

What if he thought I trapped him into this?

I shook my head, trying to clear my mind.

Enough Armie! You need to be strong! This is not the right time to panic!

Easier said than done.

My subconscious mind being pessimist is not helping either.

I threw myself backwards and closed my eyes.

Nasa ganito akong ayos when I heard the door open.

I opened my eyes and looked up.

I saw him standing at the door. His eyes moved slowly across my body.

My stomach clenched.

My heart flipped over in my chest.

Justin smiled and walked towards me while I sat up.

“So..” I started. My voice choked as I tried for the right words. The sooner I got this off my chest, the better. “What’s going to happen now?” I almost didn’t want to ask. But I had to know.

I can’t do this alone.

Not again.

Justin’s smile faded. He held my face and looked straight into my eyes. “We’re going to be a family now.”

I gave him a weak smile as my hand moved over his chest. “But….But—“

He grabbed my hand up to his lips, placing a kiss on my palm. “No more buts.” He looked straight into my eyes. “I know that you have your doubts, Armie. After all you went through, that’s understandable.” Leaning in, he kissed me tenderly. “But I’m here to stay. I’d never leave you.” He said between kisses. “I love you.” He held my gaze. “Trust me.”

Trust me.

Yes, you need to trust him Armie.

I pulled away with a smile. “I trust you.” I said, feeling almost weak with relief.

Yes, I trust him.

Justin gave me a grateful smile and leaned in to kiss my forehead. “Thank you, mine.” He mumbled against my hair.

I kissed his jaw. “Thank you for not giving up on me, baby. Thank you.” I whispered, snuggling closer to him.

After a few minutes, Justin reluctantly released me.

Umalis to sa tabi ko at lumakad papunta sa may closet kung saan naka hanger yung mga damit na sana ay susuotin naming dalawa para sa party ni Rachel.

My curiosity is piqued kaya hindi ko inalis yung pagkakatitig ko dito.

Butterflies take flight in my stomach nang makita ko yung kinuha ni Justin.

Napasinghap at hindi makapaniwala na napatitig ako sa mga mata nito.

Our eyes lock onto each other.

My eyes filled with tears.

My heart stops racing and I’m shaking from head to toe.

He sat beside me and held my hand.

I swallowed hard, my hand trembled under his.

His expression turned serious as he looked straight into my eyes. “I love you, mine. I’ve been holding this for so long.” He opened the box, took out the ring and set aside the velvet case.

I’m so busy watching him and the ring that I almost didn’t hear him.

Wait! 

I’ve been holding this for so long?

Justin smiled at me. He ran his thumb over my cheek and then he said, “Marry me, mine?”

“Are you sure about this?” I asked warily and looked straight into his eyes. Vulnerability flashed through me. “If you’re proposing because I’m pregnant. You really don’t need to do this.”

But to my surprise, Justin’s smile grows and the corner of his eyes crinkles. “Why do you think Sigrid likes me so much?” Tanong nito imbis na sagutin ako.

Realization hits me. I stared at him, eyes widened and jaw dropped “She knows!” I exclaimed. “Robbie and Rei are part of this too!” That explains the JD!

His grinned broadened and he nodded his head . There was a glint of mischief and delight in his eyes. “So are you willing to marry this scheming, selfish and possessive bastard in front of you?”

I shook my head and chuckled.And without hesitating, I pressed my lips against his. “Yes! A thousand times, yes!” I answered, quoting Jane Bennet.
