Happy Ending?
As the famous fairy tale line says, Once upon a time.
So, does happy ending always starts with once upon a time?
I am no Cinderella who left her glass shoe and eventually found her prince. I’m not white as Snow White to eat a poisonous apple to find Mr. Knight in shining armor. Nor, I’m not Aurora to be kissed by a prince. I don’t have a hair as long as Rapunzel and I never thought of kissing a frog to have a happy ending.
I am no princess to be exact. I live not in a magical world of fairy tale but in a world of reality where happy ending is not always given. I am no bitter, just a fast learner. And, I learned that one day you’ll find your guy. The next day he will be in another arms. And all that will be left is the shattered pieces of memories. Sometimes, it would even leave scars. If you’re lucky you’ll find a guy again who will pick up the broken pieces and will make you into a whole again. Or if Cupid forgot about you, you’ll be left alone. Basically, history repeats itself.
So, why bother look for a happy ending if I don’t even know where to find it? Should I even search, chase it down, or wait till it finds me?
Let’s say, in front of my laptop…perhaps in a coffee shop?
