DIEZ.
Unfortunately, Van didn’t kill himself.
Luckily, he didn’t kill me.
I was able to run away from that place.
Fuck up system.
“So, this is it, you are really going to leave?” Bre pouted her lips. ” Grabe, mami-miss kita, but don’t worry during vacation I’ll go there,” niyakap niya ako ng sobrang higpit. ” Please, take care of yourself.”
Tumango ako. “Ikaw rin. Thank you for everything. Sobra, sobra. Hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko without you,” I wiped the drop of tears that feel in my eyes.
“Jake, take care of her, okay?” bilin ni Bre. “You weren’t able to take care of me when we were together, so at least make this right, okay?” Bre joked.
Tumawa na lang din si Jake. “Yes, I love Aleya more than you.”
“I know, right,” sabi ko naman. “I’ll come back here when you already become a doctor. Okay?”
“Of course, you should,” Bre said.
“It’s okay, Bre. I’m here,” singit ni Marco. “Ready na ba? The captain is already waiting for us at the airport.”
“Yes, ready na. Mauna na ako sa sasakyan,” Jake said. “I’ll call my mother para alam nilang papunta na tayo sa airport,” paalam niya.
“Bye, Bre,” I hugged her. “Let me know if you found something about him.”
“I’ll do everything I can.”
Bre was able to get us a private plane from her family’s connection.
I slept peacefully inside the plane and we were able to do a stop-over pa sa isa sa mga airport before proceeding sa Amsterdam.
“Here I come, Amsterdam,” bulong ko habang nakatingin sa mga ulap.
“Bye, Van…” I muttered. “Wherever you are…”
“Are you okay?” tanong ni Marco. “Do you need anything?”
“Thank you, Marco. Thank you for everything. You don’t need to do it, but you still did.”
“I love you, Aleya and you don’t need to do anything about it,” he smiled as he held my hand. “Just find yourself again. Just be happy, okay?”
I nodded.
“I’ll go to the lavatory,” paalam ko.
Not sure. Sabagay, we did stop.
I smelled blood and it started to creep me out. Damn! I closed my eyes and prayed.
I couldn’t move. I froze in that spot as I heard footsteps…his footsteps…
How?
Why?
I screamed in silence when I felt his breath on my neck. “Do you want to know where the real Van is, my dear Aleya?”
