Big Shot #1: Ricky ❣ Chapter Thirteen ❣

RICKY’S POV

I let out an exasperated sigh. “Look.” I paused and met her eyes. “Whatever you’re selling, I’m not interested.”

I might come off as rude but I didn’t even know this girl. She keeps flirting and flirting despite my brush off attitude. Kahit sino, maiirita.

Nang hindi pa rin to natinag sa sinabi ko. Tinignan ko yung kamay nito na nakapatong sa balikat ko. “It means, fvck off.”

She mumbled several incoherent things bago to padabog na umalis sa tabi ko. I ignored her at yung alak na hawak ko yung pinagtuunan ko ng atensyon.

“Hey bastard.” A male voice said behind me. “I saw that little exchange.”

I glanced over my shoulder and found Ade, smirking and hovering over me.

“What made your grouchy mood even grouchier?” Amuse na tanong nito.

I raised my eyebrow. “What are you doing here?” Tanong ko dito imbis na patulan yung ginagawa nitong pang aalaska.

He looked around us. “This is a bar. What do you think?” Sagot ni Ade habang winawagayway sa harap ko yung alak na hawak nito.

Nagkibit balikat at tinungga ko nalang ulit yung hawak kong inumin habang naupo naman to sa bakanteng upuan sa harapan ko.

“Problems?” Tanong nito habang ngumunguya ng pulutan.

“Should I ask you the same thing?” I asked back habang tinitignan ko yung hawak nitong alak.

Simula nang kinasal si Ade, he rarely drinks or goes out.

“You know what they say….” Ade shrugged his shoulders and let out a hollow laugh. “Misery loves company.”

I smirked. “Finished with the honeymoon stage?”

Ade smirked back. “Finished winning her back?”

I sighed and gave him a weak smile. “What do you think?”

“Rain is not an easy type.” Ade stated. His smirk is getting wider. “You’re having a hard time?”

I shrugged my shoulders nonchalantly. “I deserve it.” I fvcking deserve this.

Tinungga ni Ade yung inumin nito. “You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.”

I snorted.

That’s complete bullshit.

I knew exactly what I had! I just thought I would never lose it.

And yeah, I know.

You probably think, “What an asshole.”

Pabuntunghininga na tumingin nalang ulit ako dito. “What about you?” Pagbabago ko ng usapan.

Maang maangan naman tong tumingin sakin. “What about me?”

“When are you going to tell her about the bet?” Seryoso ko nang tanong dito.

“Do I have to?” Sagot nito habang iniiwas yung tingin sakin.

Ade maybe a lot of things but he’s no phony. He’s really in love with Embry.

Napasandal nalang ako sa upuan ko. Hindi ko inaalis yung pagkakatitig ko dito. “No matter how much you try to ignore it. Truth always has a way of coming out.”

He turned and looked at me in a way I’ve never seen him before. Ade was very good at hiding his emotions but he was having “slip ups” now and then.   

“She’s my wife.” He said, looking dead serious.

I shook my head and sighed. “You and I both know, it’s not really legal. You forged all the paper works, makakuha ka lang ng license.”

Ade looked straight into my eyes. “She’s my damn wife, Ricky.” He repeated. “And it’s going to stay that way.”

Napailing nalang ulit ako sa katigasan ng ulo nito.

What a stubborn bull.

“Stop being—–“

Napatigil ako sa pagsasalita nang marinig ko yung vibrate ng phone ko na nakalapag sa lamesa.

I looked at the caller ID.

Tin

And here comes my other problem.

I ignored my phone at pabuntunghininga na uminom nalang ulit ako.

 “You’re not going to answer that?”

I waved my hand in the air in a dismissive manner. “Just let it ring.”

“Who’s Tin?” Tanong nito habang sinisipat yung phone ko.

“Rain’s sister.”

“Oh.” Ade crooked his head at one side and snickered. “You mean, your ex?”

“When you said it that way. I looked like a complete ass!”

Ade burst into laughter. “Dude. You are an ass. There’s no question about it. You banged her sister right after you dumped her. That was a douche move.”

“Right.” I snorted. “You mean, forcing your way around Embry by scheming is not considered as a douche move?”

We both know what a scheming bastard he is when it comes to his wife.

Naiinis na binato ako ni Ade ng mani sa naging sagot ko dito. “Embry’s ex is a complete asshole. We all know that.”

“Whatever floats your boat, man.” Kumuha ako ng pulutan bago ko tinungga ulit yung inumin ko. “Just tell her about the bet. I heard, her ex is snooping around.”

“Yeah, that bastard is the reason why I’m here.” Nakita ko yung pag igting ng baga nito.

“You’re hunting him?” Napailing nalang ulit ako dito. “Just come clean and tell her about the bet.” Ulit ko dito. Nagmumukha na akong sirang plaka.

Naiinis na binalingan ulit ako nito. “It’s not that easy. I’m planning to tell her everything. Bumubwelo lang ako.”

Ade is a confident man pero pagdating kay Embry, lumalabas lahat yung insecurities nito.

I sighed. “Embry is hopelessly in love with you Ade. Everyone can definitely see it. Come clean before it becomes too late.”

“I will man.” Ade mumbled and nodded his head absentmindedly. “I will.”

“Man, you’re—–“

Why you’re giving him a damn advice kung yung problema mo nga, hindi mo masolusyunan?

Fvck! And here comes my sarcastic mind.

I slumped on my seat and closed my eyes.

Misery really loves company.

Rain deserves more than I can ever give her, but I’m gonna try as hard as I can to win her back.

That maybe sounds selfish but I waited three years for her to come back.

There’s absolutely no way I’m going to let her go.

I don’t have any intention to give her up.

And nobody living can ever stop me.

Not even Wyatt.
